Why does mouthwash help kill bacteria?

the active ingredients kill faster.

active ingredients in mouthwash kills more bacteria than the alcohol. bacteria can withstand the alcohol for some time before getting destroyed by the alcohol. the active ingredients differ from one product to the next. the alcohol content serves more to neutralize the acids produced by the bacteria. it is those acids which actually destroy the teeth surfaces.

Why does mouthwash help kill bacteria?
The alcohol in the mouthwash is what really kills the bacteria.

  1. Mouthwash contains hydrogen peroxide and alcohol that kill germs in your mouth. That's why it's always advised to use it in curing bad breath. I remember when I once had that dreaded problem. My dentist (Tega Cay-based) told me that aside from brushing my teeth regularly, I must floss after eating to remove unwanted debris and gargle with mouthwash to kill germs. If bad breath becomes worse, it's best to visit a professional dentist like what my best friend did. She visited her dentist (Rock Hill-based) for check-ups and medication.
